2x2 Inch Passport Photo Maker
Add your photo, drag and zoom it into a 2 x 2 inch (51 x 51 mm) frame, pick the background colour, then download one photo or a ready-to-print sheet with six copies on 4 x 6 inch paper. Your photo never leaves your browser.
The colour only fills empty space around the picture. It does not replace the background inside your photo.

Frequently asked questions
How do I make a 2x2 inch passport photo?
Choose a photo with a plain light background, add it here, drag and zoom it until your head sits in the middle of the square frame, and download the photo. The frame is exactly 2 x 2 inches, which is 600 x 600 pixels at 300 DPI.
How many 2x2 inch photos fit on a 4x6 inch sheet?
Six: two across and three down, with no space between them. Choose 4 x 6 in paper in the print sheet section, download the sheet and print it at 100% (actual size) on 4 x 6 inch photo paper.
Does the tool remove or change the background of my photo?
No. It does not remove the background. Use a photo taken in front of a plain, light wall in even light. The background colour you pick only fills empty space around the picture, for example when you zoom out or rotate it.
Will my photo be accepted for a passport or visa?
Passport and visa offices set their own rules for size, background, head position, expression and print quality, and they may reject a photo that does not follow them. This tool crops and sizes your photo and shows an approximate head guide, but it does not check the photo against any official standard. Always read the requirements of the office you are applying to.
How do I keep the photo under 50 KB or 100 KB?
Tick "Keep the file under" in the download section and choose a size such as 50 KB. The tool keeps your exact pixel size and lowers the JPEG quality until the file is just under the limit. Online application forms often ask for a small file, so check what yours allows.
How should I print the sheet?
Print the sheet at 100% or "actual size" and switch off "fit to page" or "shrink to fit". The sheet is saved at 300 DPI, so a 4 x 6 inch sheet prints at exactly 4 x 6 inches. Cut along the thin lines.
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. The photo is cropped and sized in your browser on your own device, so it is never sent to our servers.
